Grizelle Esther Medina was born and raised in New York City. She attended the High School of Fashion Industries, where her passion for painting developed. At Hunter College she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Creative Art Therapy at Pratt Institute. For Grizelle, art is a way of expressing her perspective on life and marking her journey. Through art, she is able to express her thoughts, emotions and dreams.   George Malave was born in Puerto Rico and raised in New York City. He began studying art while still in his teens and received the Augustus Saint James award for Fine Arts Draftsmanship. He received a degree in Photography and Painting from State University of New York, Empire State. HOLA – ACTOR SPOT LIGHT | Pablo García Gámez

Pablo García Gámez is a playwright originally from Caracas, Venezuela. His play Blanco received the Proyecto Asunción Award (2004), the HOLA Outstanding Achievement in Playwriting (2006) and the ACE Latin Award (2007). Campana Editorial published Se vende, se alquila o se regala, an anthology by NYC’s Hispanic playwrights including his play Las damas de Atenea and Renegado (2008).

PRIDA ARTIST OF THE MONTH | Marta Medina-Feliciano

Marta was first one to go to art school. She holds a Masters in Fine Arts and Bachelors in Art from Lehman College with a concentration in painting, and minors in computer graphics, education and photography. She currently works as an Art Teacher for the New York Department of Education.
