HOLA ACTOR SPOTLIGHT | Éric-Dominique Pérez

Éric-Dominique Pérez has appeared Off-Off Broadway in the 2008 revival of the multi-award
winning play Réquiem por Yarini, for which he earned a nomination for an 2009 ACE award in the
category of Best Supporting Actor in a Drama. Pérez also earned a nomination in 2013 at the Premios
Arte Awards for his smash hit self-penned solo show El Gringuito. Other stage credits include
Anna in the Tropics, West Side Story, STRETCH, These Are the Stairs You Got To Watch!, Jekyll
& Hyde, Shhh! Don’t Wake the Corpse, and Corretjer the Poet. TV credits: “Caso Cerrado”, “MTV’s
The Grind”, “History of Modern Day Things”, and “Castle Confidential”. Film credits; The Dragons,
Realidades, and Crusade in Wonderland. He is also the founder, artistic director and producer
of the performing arts organization Dead Jíbaros Productions (www.deadjibarosproductions.com),
which mission is to produce educational plays dealing with diaspora, social, race, and gender
issues around Latinos living in urban communities within the United States. He holds a
bachelor’s degree in Theatrical Production from Hunter College-CUNY, and a certification in
Performing Arts from the Raúl Juliá Training Unit/Puerto Rico Traveling Theatre Conservatory.
He is currently enrolled in the Arts Administration program at New York University. For more
