Ulysses S. de Orduna was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico where he studied acting at the University of the Sacred Heart (BA in Theatre). He made his professional acting debut at the University of Puerto Rico Repertory Theatre Company where he played lead roles in the company’s 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons, first starring as Jack Chesney in the Puerto Rican revival of Charlie’s Aunt, The Wolf in the Spanish-language world premiere of Into the Woods and as Rolf Gruber in the latest Puerto Rican revival of The Sound of Music.
In 2013, he played the role of Jean-Michel in the Puerto Rican premiere of La Cage Aux Folles at the Luis A. Ferré Performing Arts Center in San Juan. With a background in dance, he trained at the Miami City Ballet School, where he was a full-time student, and attended summer programs at the Boston Ballet School and the Royal Ballet School of England. Currently he is an Acting BFA (Musical Theatre minor) student at Marymount Manhattan College.
