Jesús E. Martínez is a two-time HOLA Award-winning actor, ACE Award nominee, voice-over artist and actor-combatant from Brooklyn, New York and raised in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He has been working professionally in the entertainment industry for nearly a decade and going strong.

Jesús is currently a member of Repertorio Español (Spanish Repertory Theatre), SEA (Society of the Educational Arts) and Teatro Pregones (Pregones Theatre) acting companies.

His recent stage credits include: The Harlem Hellfighters on a Latin Beat (Pregones) Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliette (La TEA/Soñadores Productions), The Toothache of King Farfán (SEA), La Vida es Sueño (Repertorio Español), Captain Pantoja and the Special Service (Repertorio Español), Don Quijote, His Final Journey (PRTT) among many others.

In his career as a voice-over artist he’s lent his voice to countless radio spots (FDNY, HONDA, AFLAC, NY Lottery), TV shows and films (The Unusuals, Nurse Jackie, Notorious, P.S. I Love You, Morning Glory, Macgruber), Audiobooks (La Breve Maravillosa Vida de Oscar Wao, The Boat, The Informers) and new media productions (Rockstar Games).

Some of his credits as an actor-combatant include: Macbeth 2029 (La TEA/Soñadores Productions) and the HOLA Award winning Othello (La TEA/Soñadores Productions).

Most recently, he completed a co-starring role in Lina Sarrello’s play Out There/Allá Afuera at The 14th Street Y in Manhattan’s East Village.
